Starting January 1st, 2021, J. Cain & Co. merged with Colon Import & Export and with this alliance, the company has positioned itself as a leader in the industry with the best infrastructure, manpower, and technology.
This merger, along with the strategic alliance the group has with DHL, makes Panama’s logistics platform more robust and competitive, allowing large multinational companies to depend on a world-class logistics supplier, facilitating an efficient way to transport cargo from Panama to all of Latin America.
Throughout the past 70 years, J. Cain & Co. has experimented a sustainable and progressive growth permitting us to become the first company with specialized large-scale distribution center operations. The company began operations with only 500 sqm and currently has over 145,000 sqm of warehouse space, with distribution centers on the Atlantic Ocean in the Colon Free Zone, and on the Pacific Ocean in the Special Economic Area of Panama Pacifico, designed to serve a number of industries including Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Animal Health, Agrochemicals, Consumer Goods, Technology, Electronics, Clothes and Shoes, Retail and Beverages.
